WordPress Pumpkin

Tired of carving the same ‘ol pumpkin every year, I thought I’d try something different this year. I free-handed the WordPress logo on the pumpkin then carefully carved it out.

  5. spooky. i like the crash of old and new technologies–writing by carving on objects is transported in time and space via photography and the internet to laptops everywhere!

  9. Dude, that is awesome! I thought you said you were more of a programmer than a designer. Whatever. That rocks! Did you ever launch that new design for your family’s blog?

  10. @all – thanks again for the comments.

    @AsceticMonk – I’m sure they’ll have no idea…but I’m guessing some will think it is for George W. Bush πŸ˜‰

    @Steve – pumpkin pie is yummy!

    @Joel – let’s see a picture πŸ˜‰

    @Brandon – thanks πŸ˜‰ The design was actually for this site and unfortunately I’ve been too busy lately to work on it. How’s the hiatus going?

  14. WhOa! Came across this from the dashboard … someone has some patience and a little talent! Nice to see some pumpkins … none here in Sweden lit up on this dark rainy Halloween night in Stockholm.

    Too bad pumpkin designs go away within a couple of days πŸ™

    Thanks!

  15. As former EVP/Editorial Director of Martha Stewart, I am professionally qualified to give you two thumbs up on the pumpkin-carving. Fabulous. You’d do Martha proud (and upside-down, it’s her initial…or mine). As a WordPress user and believer (as is Martha), I say another two thumb’s up for showing your passion for this great technology.

  16. @Mholsonproject – I’m glad I took a picture the first day I carved it, the middle of the W is already starting to wilt πŸ™

    @Blogology – I do not have any tattoo’s – why do you ask? And no, I’m not planning on getting a WordPress tattoo πŸ˜‰

    @Margaret – thanks for your note, I appreciate it! I went ahead and carved one for you (and Martha) πŸ˜‰ :
