jQuery.com Redesign Causes Pandemonium

Sorry, I couldn’t resist the title. Perhaps short of true pandemonium, the new jQuery.com redesign has caused quite a stir. It sounds like they are going to make some changes, so I’m adding a screenshot for historical reference:

Run Firefox 2 and 3 simultaneously

Despite the vast improvements in Firefox 3, I’ve still been using Firefox 2 because of the instability of Firebug 1.2 (beta versions). The final Firebug 1.2 version was released recently, and many of the issues have been resolved, however, I thought I’d post the steps I took to run both Firefox versions together:

A List Apart 2008 Survey

“Calling all designers, developers, information architects, project managers, writers, editors, marketers, and everyone else who makes websites. It is time once again to pool our information so as to begin sketching a true picture of the way our profession is practiced worldwide.”

I just finished taking the A List Apart’s 2008 survey for people who make websites. The survey was well done and only took 5-10 minutes to complete. I’m looking forward to seeing the final report based on everyone’s feedback!

jQuery & Browser Issues

During the time that I’ve been using jQuery (about a year now), I’ve run into three fairly significant browser issues. Between IE, Firefox, Safari, and Opera, Firefox is the only browser that I have yet to experience any issues with (related to jQuery, of course).
