Shannon had this idea to "stack" the boys up for a picture. Cooper *really* didn't want to be on the bottom, but he had no problem smashing Caden ;) None of them really turned out how I was hoping, but I just had to post one.

My Mom flew back to Colorado today and I go back tomorrow. Shannon is going to go from having 2 helpers to none :( Should be interesting...

We don't let our kids play video games very often, so when we do, they are really into them! Here, Cooper is playing the Lego Star Wars game.

My Mom took the boys to Toys''R''Us to pick out a toy. They ended up each getting a BIONICLE, Cooper the red one and Caden the blue one. Later, I decided to try using them as a subject for a light painting long exposure shot. I also used a flash to illuminate the BIONICLE figures.

The light painting was done with a Tikka Plus headlamp.

My Mom arrived today for a visit to meet Luke and spend Easter with our family. I took the boys to pick her up at the airport and later in the day we went on a bike ride and stopped by a local school and played on the playground.

The boys both attempted to climb this baseball field backstop. It was interesting to watch them scurry up a 4-5 feet and then stop as they realized how high up they were getting. Climbing up is always the easy part...getting down...not quite as easy ;)

This wasn't the shot I had in mind when I setup the lighting and camera. I was going to try and get a shot of him sleeping in my hand so I had Shannon assist with taking the pictures. He wasn't sleepy and since I'm always behind the camera, I decided to post this one of us together.

I'll return to work on April 7th, but until then, I've been enjoying my time with the family. Shannon mostly takes care of Luke 24x7 and I'm responsible for Cooper, Caden and the house. As such, my days pretty much consist of bike rides and visits to parks in order to keep the boys busy.

We rode to a nearby park to play for a bit; it was really windy and cold! I captured this shot of Caden and had to laugh at how much it reminded me of an action scene you'd see in a movie.

I took the boys out for a hike today on a trail in Rocklin up near the Fire Station. Since the side of town we live on is barren, it's always nice to visit places surrounded by mature trees and the sounds of nature.

I loved watching them explore the trail and climb this fallen tree. Caden wasn't too sure about climbing it, but Cooper scampered right up as far as he could go. When it was time to come back down he kind of froze, but not before I could get this sweet smile :D
