SMCF Drupal Module Release (Beta)

After being asked to help get the SimpleModal Contact Form demo running on a Drupal powered site, I decided to try and turn it into a Drupal Module. Based on my SimpleModal Contact Form (SMCF) WordPress Plugin, I was able to create something which I think is now ready for a beta release. The details [...]

34th Birthday

Yesterday, on September 24, I turned 34! Which means I was born in 1974. What do all of those have in common…4. 4 is my favorite number and it has been for as long as I can remember. Some other random thoughts: – My sons, Caden and Cooper, are 3 and 4, respectively. – “Four [...]

Buckle Fracture

Saturday (9/20) morning, we took our boys, Cooper (4) and Caden (3), to a nearby park. I had planned on reading the newspaper while the boys played, but decided to join them on the playground. I took Caden down a big three-story slide, which he was apprehensive about, but I convinced him to go. The [...]

Suppressing the temptation to try out all of the new features, I jumped right in and started surfing the web. I’m actually using Chrome to type up this post and so far, everything seems to be working fine.

jQuery.com Redesign Causes Pandemonium

Sorry, I couldn’t resist the title. Perhaps short of true pandemonium, the new jQuery.com redesign has caused quite a stir. It sounds like they are going to make some changes, so I’m adding a screenshot for historical reference: What was your first initial impression of the redesign? Update: Order has been restored and the Rock [...]

Run Firefox 2 and 3 simultaneously

Despite the vast improvements in Firefox 3, I’ve still been using Firefox 2 because of the instability of Firebug 1.2 (beta versions). The final Firebug 1.2 version was released recently, and many of the issues have been resolved, however, I thought I’d post the steps I took to run both Firefox versions together:

A List Apart 2008 Survey

“Calling all designers, developers, information architects, project managers, writers, editors, marketers, and everyone else who makes websites. It is time once again to pool our information so as to begin sketching a true picture of the way our profession is practiced worldwide.” I just finished taking the A List Apart’s 2008 survey for people who [...]
